There’s been a little crazy today concerning the release date of Toxic so I wanted to give everyone a quickie update!
First off, I can now confirm that the date has been pushed back a few weeks. I know this sucks. I’m sorry and wish I could change it, but unfortunately authors have zero say in release dates. If it was up to me, I’d give it to you right now ! 😀
There’s a bright side to this, though. I’ll admit I’m not crushed about the date change. Yes, I’m very excited to share TOXIC with you guys, but having the book release on September 11th made me squirmy from the get-go. I lost a very close friend in the World Trade Center bombing, so celebrating what should be an epic day for me, on such a dark one, left me feeling sad.
A million things can hold a book up. From finished product to shelf, there are a lot of stops the book makes along the way. A hiccup at any one of those can easily cause a delay. Shipping, printing, problems with Amazon—the list goes on and on.
So while there’s a slight delay, in the long run, it will be worth it. I promise! There’s an awesome-epic-uber contest coming up soon, and there will be facts, and quotes, and epic swag—maybe even the first chapter. 😉
There’s also some pretty awesome news to announce soon… *whistles innocently*

Sad but can you post first chapter now ;). My heart goes out to you on september 11 btw. I can totally understand your misgivings about that date and if the author doesn’t feel good about it it shouldn’t happen then. Glad you feel better about the new date and I can’t wait for TOXIC!
