It’s recently come to my attention that there are people out there that don’t know what FML is. This makes me sad so I’m here to fix it!
So what does FML stand for? No not Flying Monkey League or Flaming Mutant Llamas. (But how cool would it be if it did!?)
It’s an epic time suck but it’s pure awesomesauce. You know–Like Bejeweled?
It’s another one of those you’re-not-alone-in-the-universe type things. Think of it as a small space to vent about the things in daily life that screw with you. Here’s a blurb right from the FML site:
Fmylife.com contains a daily dose of short anecdotes, based on a simple recipe: in a few sentences, users can tell everyone the shitty moment which ruined their day. These short stories must begin with Today and end with FML. On top of being a huge release for the person telling their story, delightfully proving that screw ups happen to everybody every day, fmylife.com also aims to be funny for everyone involved, as well as a way to share your misfortunes with other unlucky individuals, bearing in mind that a sense of irony is essential.
So check it out. Be warned that there is strong language and adult situations.

I know what FML stands for, of course, but until today I’d never checked out the site. One of my faves:
Today, my dad taught me how to swim. I had to keep doing a lot of strange movements to keep my body floating. While doing that, two 8-year-old girls came and asked me if i needed help getting out of the water. I’m a 20 year old guy. FML
