Welcome to the Entangled Under the Mistletoe Blog Hop! The Holiday Season is upon us, and that means lots of awesome—and a little bit of chaos, too. I thought I’d share a few of the wonderful things I loved about the holiday—and a few I could live without.
What I love…
What I hate…
1. The food. There’s so much of it—and it all looks amazing. You eat and eat and eat until your clothing no longer fits and mashed potatoes start running from your ears. Friday rolls around, and guess what? The food is still there! Each time you open the fridge it’s calling to you. It reappears on the dinner table over and over again for the next week. Like a nightmare… It never frigging ends…
2. The family and friends. They invade your house like locusts…consuming anything and everything that’s not nailed down. They break your stuff, terrorize your pets, and clog your toilet with things that would make Clive Barker run away screaming.
3. The memories. (aka the nightmares) Who wouldn’t want to remember the year drunk uncle Carmine set fire to the living room rug in an attempt to burn out Satan? Or the time crazy aunt Gia ran naked through the house with her eyes closed screaming Marco Polo? And you know you’ll never forget your cousin’s twelve year old twins taking a leak on the fake potted fern because it looked like it needed a drink.
All in all, I really can’t complain. Much. I love the holidays and I love my family—burning carpets and clogged toilets included. So how about you? What do you love (or hate) about the holidays?
Don’t forget to check out what the other Entangled authors participating in the hop are giving away! Seriously. There’s some swaggage that even Santa will be jealous of!

My favorite part of this season is finally getting some real time to be with my family. 🙂
Its so hard rounding everyone up and getting them in the same spot at the same time, isn’t it? Enjoy your holiday! 🙂
My daughter is my favorite thing about the holidays. I love how happy and excited she is about it all. It makes the holidays so much more enjoyable to see the joy it brings her.

I totally get it. I can’t get enough of watching my nieces and nephews this time of year! 🙂
I love baking a batch of cookies, the only time of the year I bake!
Mmmm. Cookies. So many cookies. So little time… 😛
Being able to spend time with the family
Agreed! 😀
The food (so much, so yummy, and it takes the whole day to make!), the family fighting over where we all sit, and simple things like that… and the kids running around like crazy! But their faces when they open presents… nothing compares to that. That’s my favorite moment by far!
I agree! Watching their faces is just priceless 😛
I enjoy spending time with my family and having the chance to read! This semester of school has been so busy that I have hardly read. Listening to the rain and reading under a blanket will be wonderful. Thanks for the giveaway!
Curling up by the fire with a good book after a hectic day of company is AWESOME! Enjoy your holiday reading time 🙂
EATING!!!
LOL Amen! 😀
It’s always about the food and the laughs from hearinf tales of Christmas past.

I love listening to my aunts and uncles talk about Christmas when they were young! 🙂
The food is definitely the best part.
I get muchie just thinking about it!
The best part of the holidays is… the food… and the cheese*
*cheese is so much more than food
“cheese is so much more than food”

Thanks for the chance to win!
I really just love spending time with the family. It’s one of the few times we’re all together and happy since my parent’s separation. I am DYING for Toxic, so thank you for the chance to win!
My favorite part is spending time with family!
I like most everything about the Holiday season…especially the parties.
I like picking out our christmas tree 🙂
My favourite part of Christmas is making gingerbread houses.
I love the long break from school!
I love purchasing the stocking stuffers. Probably since I can’t wait to eat them. 🙂
My favorite part of the holiday season is sitting around the tree with my family and seeing all the smiles when they open the gifts I got them no matter how small
My favorite part of the holiday is time off from school, spending time with friends and family and all the holiday food! 🙂
Putting the Christmas tree and all the lights
I hate that stores start pushing Christmas on the shoppers starting at Halloween. I love the family time, decorations and the food!
My favorite thing about the holiday season is how happy it is. You know that song, “It’s the hap–happiest season of aaaaall”? It’s kind of like that. Plus, I like giving people gifts. It’s just my thing. 🙂
Thanks for the awesome giveaway! I need books for the holiday break! My fav thing about the holidays is all the yummy foods!

I love getting together with my family 🙂 It’s the only time of year that we fly from all over to get together.

Getting together with family and seeing the excitement of the kids about every part of the holiday from the decorating to the opening of the presents.
Being with family and just having a day of relaxation.
I enjoy spending time with my kids..baking cookies, making gingerbread houses, decorating the tree…the family time is what I love.
Merry Christmas !~Kymflwrs4ever(at)yahoo(dot)com
I enjoy getting together with family, christmas music, decorating the house!
I love the Christmas specials on tv. I admit I get sucked into Lifetime and Hallmark feel good movies and ABCFamilys Days of Christmas
I love the smells during this time of year-the Christmas tree, the lit fireplace. the candies and all the baked goodies, the candles and the sweet smell of success that i gave a gift the person wanted.
The thing I hate most is when the stores start playing Christmas music right after Halloween. I know it’s a marketing technique, I’ve worked retail 20 some odd years. It makes me a humbug very quickly. I love decorating the tree and making cookies and spending time with my family. That time together is priceless.
I love the music, the weather (when it’s cold), the smells. And I love to watch my little boy’s face when he sees all the sights and sounds of the season.
the big holiday dinner is my fav part – regnod(at)yahoo(d0t)com
*giggling SO hard* I’m a geek for all the decorations and traditions. My husband’s family is huge but all live far away so one of his cousins usually comes and stays with us for Christmas. It’s something I look forward to every year since most of my cousins are WAY younger than I am. It’s nice to celebrate with someone who can appreciate a change in menu or why you need a bottle of Bailey’s every year or why you only want the latest Sons of Anarchy season on Bluray and not some damn fluffy pink slippers or kitchen gadgets. lol
Happy holidays Jus!
