Resolutions and the January Instagram Author Life Challenge

Posted Jan 5 2017, 8:55 am

I’m not big on the whole resolution thing. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever made one that I kept–which is silly. The whole failure thing could have been avoided if I had resolved to drink coffee every day. There. Problem solved. *ahem* Anyway… Despite previous failures, I’m going to try again.

I don’t blog nearly as much as I should. So, that’s my resolution. Not to eat healthier, lose weight, or I dunno, sail around the world in a boat made of cheese. Simply to blog. I’d love to be uber ambitious and say I’ll hit this up once a week, but I know myself. That will never happen. I get too distracted by shiny things (work, family, food, books…watching the trees sway in the breeze…). I think setting a pace of at least once a month is a good jumping off point for me. A lofty goal considering my track record? Bah. I’m determined.

Hell, maybe I’ll post more. Maybe I will do once a week. Maybe not. Probably not. Either way, I’m committing to once a month. Hold me to this, people. I mean it.

So what will I be blogging about today?

I’m doing one of those month long Instagram challenges. I doubt I’ll remember to post something every day (see previous bit on distraction) but I’ll try. Anyone else doing this?

On Instagram? You can follow me along here.
